Who has the data, has the power
— Tim O'Reilly

When it comes to understanding the environmental impact of our food consumption, nothing creates a stronger impact than statistics and data.  So, let’s look at what the data says about our food consumption. This week, Naturli’ released some very encouraging data. According to CarbonCloud, Naturli’s plant-based meat has a carbon footprint from raw material to finished product that is 19% lower than minced beef.

Similar statistics prove the environmental benefits of a diet that is more plant-based. So here, in numbers, is the planetary need to enjoy more plant-based options.

Food consumption and water usage

Did you know the amount of water used to produce the meat required for 1 burger?

Going flexitarian

So what does all this data mean? By moving towards a more flexitarian diet, increasing the consumption of plant-based foods and reducing the consumption of animal products, we are able to make a significant positive impact on the environment. So the next time you are at the grocery store, remember these statistics and make a choice for sustainability!
